Privacy and cookies

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This policy explains how HDR Industries Inc. handles personal information when you visit our store, use the rack configurator, request a quote, place an order or contact us.

Information collected and its use

  • Contact details and communications: name, email, telephone number, addresses needed for a quote, billing or delivery, and the content of your communications.
  • Quotes and orders: truck details, stated dimensions, configuration choices, colour references, your logo and its embedded metadata, language, acceptance of terms and transaction information.
  • Operation and security: IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, session or attempt identifiers and privacy preferences.

This information is used to prepare your quote or order, check the configuration, manufacture your rack, arrange delivery, answer you, manage payment and after-sales service, prevent errors or abuse, and meet legal obligations. Outside Quebec, we may request the full address to prepare a shipping quote before payment. Payment information is handled by Shopify and its providers; the configurator does not receive your card number.

Your logo in the configurator

Your logo preview is prepared in your browser. Selecting a file to view it does not send it to HDR. The original file is sent to our hosting service when you submit an order or quote request with a custom logo. A download link is then associated with the Shopify record. Include only the required artwork, without unnecessary personal information in the file or its metadata.

Recipients and processing outside Quebec

Information needed for your request is intended for the people handling it at HDR and the relevant providers: Shopify for the store and orders, Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure for the configurator and files, and payment, email, manufacturing or delivery services needed to fulfil your request. Disclosure may also be required or permitted by law.

Information may be hosted or processed outside Quebec, in other provinces or countries, where laws may differ. Shopify indicates that our store’s customer data is hosted in the United States. Sites, Cloudflare and other providers may also process information outside Quebec.

Shopify and its Enhanced Services

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes information when you visit and purchase. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled: Shopify uses interaction data from our store, other merchants and Shopify for its Enhanced Services, including personalization, analytics and advertising. These services may involve Shopify and third parties in other countries.

Shopify also handles certain information for its own services. Read the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and visit its privacy portal to learn about its practices, exercise rights with Shopify or manage its advertising uses.

Cookies and preferences

The store uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure transactions and remember your preferences. The configurator also uses your browser’s session storage to restore your selection and recognize an order attempt. This storage depends on how your browser works, including session restoration.

The store’s banner lets you accept, refuse or customize optional uses, including analytics and advertising. You can change your choices using the store’s cookie preference control. Optional identification, location or profiling features remain disabled until you choose to enable them. Refusing optional uses does not prevent you from ordering. Technologies necessary for operation and security remain in use.

You can also clear or block storage in your browser; this may remove your selections or affect some functions. A preference provided for our store does not automatically govern Shopify’s processing on its own services.

Retention and protection

Retention depends on the type of record and needs relating to quotes, manufacturing, delivery, after-sales service, legal obligations and dispute resolution. You can ask us for the retention period applicable to your information. A logo download link currently expires after 180 days. This ends access through that link; it does not mean that the file or its copies have been automatically deleted.

A submitted file is accessible through a confidential link: anyone who has that link can download it while it is valid. Avoid sharing it. Contact our privacy officer to report a disclosure or request removal of a file. Protective measures cannot eliminate all transmission or storage risks.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to your information, correction and, where legal conditions are met, a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format. You may also withdraw consent to uses or disclosures that rely on it and request deletion of information whose retention is no longer authorized. Some obligations may require records to be retained; withdrawal does not automatically remove an order or its supporting records.

Send requests or complaints to the contact below. We may verify your identity in a proportionate manner. Access and correction requests are handled within the legal period of 30 days after receipt. You may also seek recourse from the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
